Similar numbers in Roma this week. Feeder steers 400-500kg up to 346c/kg.

Softer British & Euro type heifers making up to 300c/kg. Cows topped at 220c/kg.

With scattered showers Roma Agents were still able to yard 7,414 head 1,776 less than the previous sale.

Cattle were drawn from a large area of Queensland as well as S.A..

All the regular processors feedlotters and backgrounders present and active. With the pressure of the large numbers prices continue to soften. Light weight yearling steers under 200kg topped 416c to average 378c/kg. Yearling steers 200 to 280kg also made to 414c/kg with the 280 to 330kg lost ground selling from 286c to 422c/kg.

Yearling steers 330 to 400kg sold to 388c/kg. The 400 to 480kg yearling steers made to 348c/kg. Yearling steers over 480kg made to 358c to average 307/kg. Light weight yearling heifers under 200kg sold from 204c to 284c/kg.

Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg sold well to 298c with the 280 to 330kg made to 320c/kg to feed. Yearling heifers 330 to 400kg also sold well to 318c/kg. The 400 to 480kg heifers selling to 300c to average 287c/kg. Grown steers 400 to 500kg to feed made to 338c also the 500 to 600kg sold to 338c/kg as well.

Grown steers over 600kg sold to 276c/kg.

Grown heifers over 540kg sold to 266c and averaged 235c/kg. Another yarding well finished cows penned with the 3 score cows over 520kg sold to 226c to average 203c/kg. The 2 score cows 400 to 520kg selling to 208c/kg. The best of the heavy weight bulls to 258c/kg.
