Carinya Garglen Sale 2024

29TH OCTOBER 9AM START ..

At the 2024 Carinya Garglen Sale, we will once again present 85 young grey Brahman sires.

The sale will be held on Tuesday 29th October at Glenlands, Bouldercombe, and will commence at 10 am.

We invite you for inspection from 6.30 am on sale day.

However, all sale bulls will be at Glenlands from Friday October 4th and available for inspection by appointment with either vendor or agent.

This year, our lineup of bulls is once again focused on the commercial beef industry, but will also cater to Brahman Stud Sire requirements, with some outstanding young bulls that ‘have it all’.

New and exciting sires are being introduced and we invite you to view the sale bulls at any time on property.

While you are visiting, you can also inspect the female herds these young sires were bred from.

Breeding herds that have almost 7 decades of genetic strength and history, that incidentally, we are very proud to show off.

Just a peak at what's on offer at the sale

LOT 1

LOT 1 Selling 3/4 share full possession - Bull sells with 50 straws of semen. Semen retained for in herd use only. Willtony Blundstone progeny never disappoint, but Johnstone takes it to the next level. If it is figures and phenotype combined that you are looking for, look no further. Johnstone is in the top 1% of the breed for 200, 400 and 600 day growth and CWT and the top 10% for EMA and RBY. His dam has a healthy intercalving period of 6 calves @ 438 days. This young sire is a high performing, profit driving Sire, and will command the attention of Stud and Commercial breeders alike.

LOT 2

LOT 2 And the quality continues. This polled son of Mr US Polled Evolution 409/5, Garglen Addiction, is addictive. He displays all the right figures with above breed average scores for 200, 400, 600 day growth, EMA, RBY and IMF and presents with excellent phenotype. What a combination. Addiction's dam has great intercalving period of 4 natural calves @ 421 days before making her way into our donor program. She was the dam of Garglen Barron, sold for $70 000 in 2021. Growth, fertility and phenotype rolled into an impressive package, with figures to back him up. His polled head and gentle disposition complete the package to perfection.

LOT 3

LOT 3 A polled Dutton son that's going to get you growth, meat and scale. With Noble and Blundstone in the pedigree and based off Bass' EBV's, the growth traits in this powerhouse of a bull should be passed on. These traits combined with the femininity of the Blundstone females makes this bull a genuine stud sire. Bass has sire appeal written all over him from tip to tail. The way he stands up tall and proud with his long neck extension, strong topline, very tidy sheath and structural integrity is not something to be passed up. His mother is a young donor cow by Blundstone that we think a lot of. Bass is in the top 1% for 200, 400 & 600 day weights and also top 1% for carcase weights

LOT 5

LOT 5  Johnny is not only phenotypically an outstanding bull, but genetically he has a very strong and proven pedigree. His mother is a polled Blundstone daughter out of a Jigsaw cow - which is a cross for the ages and Johnny is her first calf. Nesta has been incredibly fertile for a young cow with a DCI of 375 days. She's got a good udder and thurl set which has made her a really functional female. Johnny's a powerful young bull, who's only going to get more and more impressive.

LOT 8

LOT 8 A polled JDH Carson son out of one of our favourite young donors 1153/9. Karson is a growthy bull with a disposition you couldn't fault. He is in the top 1% for 200 day & carcase weights & top 5% for 400 & 600 day weights. Full brother in the sale at lot 34.
