Home base is the Mackenzie River property “Barwon Park” 60 kms South of Middlemount, while “Jaydena”, Capella and “Parker Creek”, Dingo are also utilised in the breeding and finishing operation.

The cattle you view throughout our site are the result of four generations of Hicks' family members commitment to breeding quality cattle to suit both commercial and stud markets.

Situated north of Nebo, "Carrinyah" is approx 20,600 acres, running 2000 stud breeders and a 500 head commercial operation. The Carrinyah Park gate is always open for visitors.

Palmal Brahmans, a new name. but old and proven Brahman Stud. Palmal Brahmans was established in 2013 to take over the stud name Lancefield D, run by David, Julie and our three boys Ed, Will and Tim who all have their own stud cattle.

Savannah Brahmans Megatron Manso was purchased at the Rockhampton Brahman week sale for $60,000.He was selected for sire type from head to tail correctness, and easy muscling. This combines well with his excellent figures measured at 29 months.
