104 VGQ Organic Santa Cross PTIC Heifers. These Heifers show Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age.

They are all Vendor Bred Heifers that have been joined to VGQ “Jarrah Red” Bulls since the middle of February.

All of the Heifers were PTIC at assessment & Bangtailed.

Majority are tidy around the head and have very good feet. There were 7 Heifers over 500 kg that were mouthed with 5 x Milk Teeth & 2 x Two Teeth. There were 3 x Heifers observed with small patches of White Underline. Some of the Heifers are starting to show signs of Lice irritation. Vendor has another Lot of Organic PTIC Heifers in the same Sale.

78 VGQ Organic Crossbred & Brahman Cross PTIC Heifers. These Heifers show Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age.

They are all Vendor Bred Heifers that have been joined to VGQ “Jarrah Red” Bulls since the middle of February.

All of the Heifers were PTIC at assessment & Bangtailed. Majority are tidy around the head and have very good feet.

There were 14 Heifers over 500 kg that were mouthed with 4 x Milk Teeth, 6 x Two Teeth, 3 x Four Teeth & 1 x Six Tooth.

There were 5 x Heifers observed with White Underlines & 9 x Brindle Heifers. There are 2 x Heifers with Twisted Noses & 1 Heifer with a Crank in her Tail. Some of the Heifers are starting to show signs of Lice irritation. Vendor has another Lot of Organic PTIC Heifers in the same Sale.

53 x 56 VGQ Vendor Bred Braford Cows & Calves. Majority exhibit Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their Breed & Age.

They range from 3 – 13 years with 65% under 10 years of age.

They are a mixture of Young Breeders & Older,Big Frame Turnover Cows.

There is a lot of compensatory weight gain in these Cows if given good quality feed.

The calves have all been Branded & are by VGQ “Rarcamba” Braford Bulls.

There are 32 Heifer Calves & 24 Steer Calves. Majority of the Cows are tidy around the head & have good feet.

There were 3 extra calves at assessment that belong to this mob of Cows. They are either twins or pinching a drink off another cow as all calves were fresh in the coat & doing well. The sale price will be for the Cows & the 3 extra calves will be priced @ $500 each. Vendor would appreciate a prompt pickup as the cows are being fed hay in a holding Paddock until delivery. Escombe is Prickly Acacia Free.

90 good quality mostly good medium to large frame Droughtmaster or Droughtmaster cross cows with large Santa cross calves at foot.

Only 32 cows & calves were handled in the yards but the balance where inspected in the paddock and the assessed cows and calves would be a fair representation of the total mob. 68 calves were branded in the first week of April with the balance born since then.

The unbranded calves would be 1 to 4 months old and they averaged 138 kg while the branded calves (4 to 9 months) averaged 213 kg.

All branded calves could be weaned. Vendor has approx 20 PTIC cows (6 months plus) that could make 6 decks if wanted at a negotiated price.

The 13 year old cow was mouthed & her teeth were evenly worn – please see photo.

There are no shelly cows in the mob. Two cows observed with a capped hip. Very good mob of large frame cows to fatten & keep the weaners. I would expect a large number of these cows to be back in calf to Santa bulls.
