82 VGQ Station Mated Soft Crossbred Heifers. Majority Exhibit Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age. They would make Good Future Breeders or finish them on Grain or Grass for Domestic & Export Markets. They have been running with VGQ “Drensmaine” Santa Gertrudis Bulls since the beginning of the year. There were 3 Heifers observed at assessment showing early signs of springing. They are Very Quiet & have Good Feet. All Heifers were mouthed with 64 Milk Teeth, 13 Two Teeth & 5 Four Teeth Heifers. There is 1 Brindle Heifer & 1 Heifer with Blue Eye Scarring. Ayrshire has Prickly Acacia however there are no seeds present at the moment.

108 x 108 VGQ Red Brahman & Droughtmaster cross cows & calves. The majority have good bone, length, depth & frame for their breed and age. They have good feet and are in good fwd store to prime condition. Quality cows with calves at foot that are fresh to 6 months old – approx 40% of the calves being unbranded. The branded calves were processed in the first week of April 2019 with all male calves HGP treated with Synovex LA. Calves look to weigh from 35 to 220 kg to average around 120 kg. Please disregard any dry cows or cows with top of ear mark as they are not included in the sale – only wet cows branded NY Spade with a mark at the bottom of each ear are in the sale. Any wet cow with a major faults (dog-bite, long toes, capped hips – none were observed when assessed) or are 11 years & older will be discounted $100 from the sale price – delivery agent to count numbers. ** 46% of the paddock mob was group assessed so cattle were not weighed ** Vendor has another 108 x 108 in this sale as well.

54 x 54 VGQ Droughtmaster Cows & Calves. They Exhibit Very Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame. They are all sound cows that could be retained for another couple of calves or ideal turnover units. These Cows are from a Highly Regarded Herd that are Very Quiet with Good Feet. The calves are by VGQ Droughtmaster & Speckle Park Bulls with the cows running continuously with the same Bulls. There are 49 Droughtmaster Calves & 5 Speckle Park Calves. There are 21 Steer Calves, 10 Bull Calves, 17 Branded Heifer Calves & 6 Cleanskin Heifer Calves. There are 3 cows with White Underlines, 1 Fawn Coloured Cow & 1 Charbray Cow with the remainder Honey or Red in Colour. There are 3 cows with injection lumps, 2 cows with old Flybite scarring, 1 Cow with a rounded off hip & 1 calf with a small lump on its jaw. Kiriwina is Prickly Acacia Free. There is 1 steer with warts & 1 steer with a cricket ball sized, soft lump on his neck from an injection. Skye has some Prickly Acacia however there are no seeds present at the moment. There are 84 Vendor Bred Steers with the remaining 6 purchased late last year from Southern Queensland. There is 1 steer with warts, 1 steer with blue eye scarring, 2 Steers with White Underlines & 2 Steers with slight humps. Skye has some Prickly Acacia however there is no seed present at the moment. 96 VGQ PTIC DROUGHTMASTER HEIFERS
AUCTIONSPLUS FRIDAY 29TH MAY
4 decks of VGQ quality PTIC Droughtmaster heifers in fresh store to prime condition. Majority of these heifers have very good bone, length, depth & frame for their breed & age. 1 x Brahman & 4 heifers with small Brahman humps – balance best described as flat backs. 125 were preg-tested by Scott Marshall on the 26th April & were 5 to 8 months in calf at that time. Some of these heifers have now calved so those heifers will be included for sale in another lot of joined heifers & heifers with calves at foot. Any heifer that is very heavy in calf will be pulled out and not trucked. ** This is a group assessment – these heifers were not weighed**. My estimated weights are based on the vendors feeder heifers that were sold in March & kill results of cows & heifers processed in April. Heifers were joined to VGQ Rondel & Medway Droughtmaster bulls & a Gipsy Plains Red Brahman bull. 2 heifers with white face & several heifers with white underbelly.
