Copperstring 2.0 Director Joseph O’Brien says his company's latest project delivering less expensive power to the Northwestern Mineral Province in Queensland is “making enormous progress”.
The major infrastructure development for North Queensland is set to begin construction this time next year and will deliver cheaper power to the northwestern minerals province, allowing big companies like Glencore to become more sustainable.
“Since we last spoke about a billion dollars of new potential mining investment has engaged officially to apply to connect to the transmission line,” Mr O”Brien told Sky News Host Peter Gleeson.
The interest demonstrated by these investors “gives you an idea of the potential of the Northwest minerals province”.
