International Guests say Thank you to Aussie Friends

Nando and Syliva

We started our trip in NT, at Gillian and Murrays place and we had action and adventure from the first day. It was very interesting to see how works our Australian friends, how they handle their cattle and to help them with some little works, for example to sorted out any cattle, moving from one yard to the next, unload cattle from big trucks. It was also very great to see the landscape, the flood plains included a trip with a ship and air craft boat and the true nature included wild animals like kangaroos, crocs and different birds.

After our stay in NT we traveled to Townsville to follow an invitation of Jim and Janelle, thanks for that. We enjoyed the time with your both in your nice home and place and our trips together in and around Townsville as well, a really nice town, beautiful places, locations, interesting museum, shops and beaches.

A highlight was also to visit Glenda and Brian Kirkwood, Somerview Brahmans.
Very lovely people, really good Red Brahmans, so nice and beautiful quality of Brahmans, in a perfect condition. Brian and Glenda are so lovely people, sharing a full day with us included a lot of great meals, like breakfast, lunch and coffee with a lot of cakes.

After our run from Townsville to Rockhampton with you we´ve seen a great show for 5 days, a lot of so nice cattle of different breeds and we met a lot of old friends like David and Joy Deguarra, Hamdenvale Brahman Stud, John Crocker, Stewart Nobbs, Yoman, Clinton Geddes, Three D Brahmans (he visited us as first Australian breeder in Germany ), Susan and Brett Kirk, Stuart Kirk, Hazelton Brahmans, Ashley Kirk and his family, Rockley Brahmans, Sally North, Rocky Repro and a lot more.

Roxanne and her family has organized a beautiful private home stay at Tracy Hardy and Noel Hamilton place. They are so lovely people, they was like old friends to us from the first minute. We´ve got the chance to use and living in a nice apartment with a great breakfast every morning included interesting talks. This both new friends invest also a lot time to make this trip unforgettable for us. Thanks.

We enjoyed the Beef with all specials, cattle judging's, shopping (especially our young buddy and neighbor Marc), foods, lunches with friends, interesting discusses, just only simple relax and spending time together with a drink.

Especially thanks to John Croaker and his effort in our concern how can we handle the high veterinarian protocols for any export on Brahman genetic directly to Germany and the EU without the way that every shipment has to cross Canada first because Canada have similar the same export standards like the EU. Thanks again to John and Sally North, Rocky Repro, because we had a meeting together to discuss about this concern.

A great adventure was also the PBR Rodeo at the Great Western. We had a lot of fun together and enjoyed the nights at this place. After a great week during the Beef in Rocky we´ve followed an invitation of our friends the Olive family to stay for a week at the Raglan Station.

It was from the first day a really great experience to see how this family run handle their beautiful and really good cattle.

We got the chance to meet Dr. Richard Fry from Melbourne and to see how they made a lot of IVF embryo transplantation and to help a little bit for that. It was a great experience to see how quickly and exactly they handle the recipients and works.

The Olive´s gave us also the chance to work with them to move some herds of their Brahmans by motor bikes, and for Marc was a great adventure to sorted and moved Brahmans with Ryan in the helicopter.

Andrew and Roxanne spend a lot of time with us to visit some other Brahman breeder. After our finally works to cleaning the Raglan/Kenrol display at the showground's, we helped Andrew like, we visit as first Tony and Will Fenech and their family´s at the FBC station.

We know Tony and his son Chris from our time together in South Africa and in Australia two years ago. It was a pleasure to meet him at his station again and sharing time together to have breakfast and lunch together and to see great cows, calves and bulls in a perfect condition. We´re sure it will be for every Brahman breeder and enthusiast a great pleasure to see and have it this quality. Bulls and cows with power and performance. Thanks to Tony and Will.

After we visit Jason Pursell, Allawah station. We met Jason in South Africa, Panama and Australia. He is a very nice guy with a feeling for really good Brahman quality and especially for using this great genetic to produce first class crosses with Angus and especially Boran, an African cattle breed. He showed us really good and beefy calves.

We went on to visit Brett McCamley and his wife, Fern Hill Brahmans. Brett breeds red Brahmans with international genetic and used great names in the red Brahman genetic for example DB Valentino,
JDH Elmo Manso, different HK genetic by Dinah Weil and etc. It was a pleasure to see his bull polled Fern Hill Kingston 1840. A really nice bull, we´re interested to use him for jour red embryo production.

After our time at Fern Hill we visited Brett Nobbs, NCC. When we came to the farm, we first saw the big tent and immediately reminded us of the big party and the JDH Elmo Manso elite sale in this tent two years ago at the World Brahman Congress. Brett showed us a part of his Brahmans based on JDH genetic, for example some donors and recipients with ET calves and a lot of his Simmental cattle, included his professional feed lots.

The next day started with daily works on the farm and after this we met Ken and Wendy Cole for lunch in Gracemere, and had interesting talks and discusses. We know Wendy from our last time in Australia. After lunch we visited Kenrol Brahmans stud. We´ve seen also good Brahmans based on Australian and American genetic. For us was Wendy´s place a little memory, her stud looks like our farms here in Germany, a lot of different animals, like Brahmans, dairy cows and calves, sheep's, chickens, guinea fowls, dogs and some other. Nice place as well.

In this week at the Raglan Station we had a lot of time together with the Olive´s, to talk a lot about cattle and some things in the World, we have experience exchanged, we looked together old pictures of time together and reminisced, had fun together, barbecue and met friends of the Olive family.

The best for us together is the start of our partnership, we like to present the Raglan genetic here in Germany and Europe with the offspring of the 2015 Beef Interbreed Champ Raglan Victory 1735. We´re honored to present with the Raglan genetic really good Australian genetic as first breeder for this majestic cattle breed here in Germany and Europe. The Raglan Brahmans are for us really good genetic to improve especially the quality of feeds, legs, udders and teats.

We know that the Raglan Brahman stud will be the right partner for us, this stud is the real house of Champions. In the 30-year history of the Beef-Week, so at 10 shows, has won 3 times a Brahman bull, and every bull comes from the Raglan Station. That´s a great sign for continuous quality and breeding experience. And the other titles of other great shows, like the Sydney show for example speaks for himself.

Our next goal will be to promoting the Raglan genetic here in Germany and Europe because we have a lot of interested farmers here for Brahmans and genetic of this breed.

We established Brahmans as first breeder in Germany and Europe and have clients from the North to the South (for example Denmark to Spain) and from the West to the East (Netherlands to Russia).
Our clients like to breed pure breed Brahmans or quality crosses for the beef market. The interest for this breed will growing more and more and we sure Europe will be for approximately the next 15 years a big market for Brahmans.

Finally we´re sure this grey genetic of Andrew and Roxanne will be interested for every breeder to produce Brahmans with performance, there in Australia and here in Europe as well. At the time we produce first class embryos sired by the both super bulls Raglan Victory 1735 and Three D Platinum for us for our ET´s. Next plan is the embryo production sired on.
Raglan Mr. Mason 2280.
After an emotional farewell at the Rocky airport with Roxanne and Andrew and Tracy Hardy as well (there was some tears in some eyes) we flying to Dubai for a break on our long run back to Frankfurt, Germany. It was great to see Dubai, one of fastest growing mega cities in the World. But for me as farmer will this a unique experience, I don´t need cities like Dubai, it´s for me and my wife Sylvia a plastic World and not a place to be.

It was great to see it, but it was also great to leave it Dubai again. We would spend every day of our holiday at any farm than Dubai. Maybe that´s what a farmer´s heart is called.

Thanks again to all of our friends and our new friends like Tracy and Noel, you all made this great trip for us as simple farmer possible, memorable, great and unforgettable and be sure, we come back if we stay healthy, maybe we see you again any time here at jour place, be sure you always WELCOME, it would be a pleasure and a honor for us you have it here on our small farm.
