Jim, 107 hour week over. Cow herd all documented calves tagged, vaccinated and mothered, and 70 breeders plus 40 joined heifers drafted off and nearly all sold.

And........bull buyers coming out of the woodwork. Who would have seen that coming.

Retained cows actually gaining weight on all this hay in the back yard.

Otherwise our fires are all out here, 17 kilometres of fencing to do with Blaze Aid.

We are still selling bulls but winding up the stud female sales as we get numbers down to target.

Your promotional genius is amazing.

We are blown away with hundreds of supportive messages, hay and molasses being donated here and volunteers racing to help. We've also been assisting all our neighbours along the Baffle Creek.

A very distressing text message this morning came from Dr Robert Scanlan

Kenmay burned yesterday Jim.

We have 400 stud cattle on 70 acres around the house on feed.

We need to sell stud cows, heifers and bulls pronto.

Too busy feeding and fixing fences and troughs to do marketing.

Cows are in store condition due to drought, young heifers and bulls all in well fed condition.

Bloodlines and quality are superb.

Kenmay burned yesterday.

We're feeding 400 beautiful stud cattle bred over 32 years. Please come and buy something, one or twenty, all will help. Stud cows, calves heifers. Don't forget we still have great young bulls too.

Don't ask a price. Just think of something reasonable.

Might take us days to reply to everyone. Dozer, fire units choppers, fwa and a Boeing jet all assisting.
