    Galloway Plains is located approximately 42 kilometres west of the small rural township of Calliope and accessed via the Dawson Highway then on the Galloway Plains Road (formed gravel) to the property. Regional city services are available with Rockhampton approximatley125km north and 64km to Gladstone. This is a rural grazing area serviced by a primary school and suburban shops.

    High schools and major regional facilities are provided for in Gladstone. Three abattoirs are located nearby at Rockhampton and one at Biloela and live-weight cattle saleyards are located at Moura, Biloela and Gracemere. Tank water, electricity, telephone - land line and septic system are connected to the property. Mobile coverage, school bus from Dawson Highway and mail delivery are available.

    The property encompasses 13,076.10 Hectares (32,311.75 acres). Twenty-two freehold titles totalling 12,984.04 Hectares (32,084.26 acres) and one leasehold title of 92.06 Hectares (227.48 acres).

    The land comprises near level box and broadleaf ironbark flats, broken by creek lines and low ridges timbered with broadleaf / narrow leaf ironbark, bloodwood and Moreton Bay ash. Soils range from sandy loams on the creek flats to lighter gravelly ridges. Pastures comprise improved rhodes and stylos supporting bluegrass and native spear grass.

    Boundary fences are steel post and 3-barbed wire construction, appropriately maintained. The property is internally subdivided into about 15 main paddocks plus, 5 holding paddocks. These fences comprise mostly timber posts (newer sections of steel) with 3 barbed wires.
