Feature draft of No.9 grey polled genetic heifers ranging in weight from 270kg to 540kg on farm. The Maloney Family of the renowned Kenilworth Brahman Stud have been breeding polled brahmans for approximately 50 years.
The heifers were sold in 10 lots ( 9 pure grey & 1 red/grey lot of commercial heifers). Bidding was very spirited with a very large panel of buyers from the stud and commercial industry.
Lot No. 1 was 23 heifers which sold for 510.2 cents per kg to return $2018.62 per head purchased by Kevin & Delia Herrod.
Lots No. 2 & 3 consisted of 30 and 31 heifers making 812.2 cents per kg to return $2669.43 and $2824.36 per head purchased by James & Wendy Healing from Scona Pastoral.
Lots No. 4 & 5 heifers made 928.1 cents per kg to return $3209.78 and $3248.70 per head purchased by James & Wendy Healing from Scona Pastoral.
Lots No. 6,7,8 & 9 made 1174.2 cents per kg to return $3599.37 , $3477.44 , $3576.79 and $3527.12 per head that were purchased by Tropical Cattle Co.
Lot 10 made 604.2 cents per kg to return $2069.39 per head purchased by James & Wendy Healing from Scona Pastoral.
The total 266 head averaged an outstanding $3068.00 per head.
